History

Research runs from sticks to lasers in Mega Lo Mania, then you send followers to fight. Sensible Software made the god game and Virgin published it in 1991. Some Western boxes call the same game Tyrants: Fight Through Time.

Islands are taken in sequence. Followers assigned to huts research the next weapon and then march with it. A stick-armed band loses to a later island that has already reached guns.

You are not a soldier on the field. You are the planner deciding how many people study, how many build, and how many attack. The tech ladder is the clock.

Sensible Software designed that escalation. Virgin published the Super Nintendo edition. Tyrants: Fight Through Time is an alternate title on certain boxes, not a second ruleset.
