Matthew, son of Isaac, leads the new adepts of Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Camelot set their journey in 2010, thirty years after the first games, on a Weyard broken open by the last Golden Sun. Karis and Tyrell start beside him, children of adepts who walked the earlier roads.
Djinn still latch onto characters and rewrite their classes. Psynergy remains the elemental craft used in battle and on the field. The geography itself is a scar: seas and land shifted when alchemy returned, and a crisis known as the Grave Eclipse hangs over that altered map.
This sequel is neither the first Golden Sun nor The Lost Age. Those earlier stories belong to Matthew's parents. Here the next generation crosses the aftermath on its own routes, collecting Djinn the elders do not carry for them.
Nintendo published the Camelot game. The party grows past the opening trio as new adepts join. The old heroes appear as parents and elders rather than as the group you command.
