Om Nom waits under a hanging candy in Cut the Rope. ZeptoLab's 2010 phone game swings that sweet by slicing ropes, and DS and 3DS ports followed.
Bubbles, ropes, and spikes change which cut drops the candy into the green mouth for three stars. A wrong slice sends the treat into a spike or out of the level.
The phone original came first, with the monster, the candy, and the scissors as the puzzle. DS and 3DS editions carry that same feed-the-monster loop onto handhelds.
