History

Team17 left turn-based artillery behind for Worms Blast, a 2002 puzzle closer to block-clearing than to a Bazooka duel. GameCube and Game Boy Advance both got versions of that shift.

You fire at colored clusters and try to keep a rising waterline from swallowing the boat. Worms still crew the cannon, but the goal is a cleared stack rather than a last worm standing on an island.

That break from the usual deathmatch is why an afternoon with this entry feels like a different series. Disc and cartridge both ask for the same aim-and-clear idea, even when their stage lists diverge.
