Solar wings fail at dusk in Race The Sun, Flippfly's 2013 endless racer about a craft that dies when the sun sets. Speed picks up on its own, obstacles arrive in silhouette, and the Wii U version ports that minimalist computer game.
Collecting light keeps the systems alive for another few seconds of daylight. There is no lap marker, only a horizon and a clock made of the sky.
Flippfly's sunset is the fail state. The Wii U port is that same race against the light.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
