Shadow Moses returns with a new camera in Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Silicon Knights remade the 1998 stealth game for the GameCube in 2004, with new cutscenes directed by Ryuhei Kitamura.
Solid Snake, Meryl, and Liquid still fight over the nuclear walking tank, but first-person aiming and Kitamura's action-film staging change the feel of a corridor. The cardboard box and the codec remain, now under cutscenes that dive and spin more than the original boards.
The PlayStation game is the story's first telling. Twin Snakes is the remake that keeps the island and recuts the cinema, Kitamura's name included.
