History

A long tongue swings, swallows, and poles in Chameleon Twist. Japan System Supply's 1997 platformer gives the hero that elastic reach, so a distant bar is a grapple point and an enemy can be eaten and spat.

The tongue's length is the jump stat. Levels are built as poles and gaps that a normal hop cannot cross.

A swallowed foe becomes ammunition. The Nintendo 64 camera follows a body whose main limb is the mouth.
