Toad warships and a hare captain fill Bucky O'Hare, Konami's NES adaptation of the comic-and-cartoon crew. Blinky, Dead-Eye Duck, and the others join Bucky across side-view stages that fans still rate among Konami's stronger licenses.
Konami released the cart in 1992, and the Toad Empire is the enemy across the side-view stages. Bucky's crew changes how a room is crossed because their bodies are not interchangeable.
It is a licensed action game with a reputation out of proportion to the obscurity of the show. Bucky and his crew, not a generic mascot, are the team on the cartridge.
