History

Acclaim darkened the hunt in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, and the cerebral bore became the weapon players still name. Iguana developed it as a sequel, not a fresh license, so the dinosaur corridors continue rather than start over.

The 1998 levels are meaner, with more cramped interiors and a wider arsenal than the first foggy jungle. The cerebral bore is a charge that locks onto a foe's head, which is a different fantasy from a simple rifle.

Nintendo 64 owners met that sequel on the same console as the first hunter. Seeds, the bore, and the gloomier maps are how this chapter separates itself from the earlier cartridge.
