History

Maxis added life stages and aspirations in The Sims 2, the PC sequel from 2004 whose Sims age from toddler toward elder. GameCube and Game Boy Advance releases are separate console games, not that computer simulation shrunk down.

On the PC, a Sim ages from toddler to elder and chases a lifetime want. The Nintendo editions build their own neighborhoods and goals instead of copying the computer neighborhood screen.

A player who wants the aging clock and the aspiration meter wants the computer game. The Nintendo boxes share the dollhouse name, then follow scripts written for their own machines.
