History

The Marked One wakes on a truck and goes looking for Strelok in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. GSC Game World opened its series in 2007 with this first-person survival shooter in the Zone around the Chernobyl plant.

Anomalies, a blowout, and factions such as Duty and Freedom make the road to the plant a political hike as well as a gunfight. The Wish Granter under the sarcophagus is the rumor every stalker is chasing, including the man with the tattoo.

Later Zone games moved the date and the protagonist. This one is the Marked One's walk, the 1986 disaster's fictional aftermath, and the plant as a final door.
