History

Airborne lanes and underground cuts push the city forward in San Francisco Rush 2049. A flying gap between towers replaces a simple hill shortcut. Atari sent the arcade city racer into the future in 2000, adding those tracks beyond the original hill streets.

Stunt gaps between buildings replace a simple shortcut through a construction site. The future cars still trade paint on Rush-style roads, only the altitude changed.

The future city also fits on a Game Boy Color cartridge beside the tower gaps. The Nintendo 64 future tour is the one with the flying gaps and the tunnels under the bay.
