Wesley Snipes's daywalker carries the sword in Blade (2000), cutting through vampires that hate his sunlight. The handheld hunt keeps the coat and the blade rather than every scene of the film.
Whistler's world of serum and silver is the backdrop, while the stages put Blade in alleys and nests where a firearm and a blade take turns. The tie-in does not retell every scene of the movie; it keeps the hunt and the leather coat.
A later film and a later console game expanded the same character. This cart is the small-screen version of that first movie's premise: one immune hunter against a city of vampires.
