History

Makarov's war closes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the 2011 finale Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer used to end the original Modern Warfare story. Captain Price and Soap MacTavish are still in the fight, and the campaign hops cities as the conspiracy stops being a single country's problem.

The motion-console version adapts that campaign for motion controls, so aiming and gestures follow the remote rather than only a stick. The plot beats remain the trilogy's ending, including the hunt that began in the previous game.

Players on that remote are not getting a side story. They are playing the same closing campaign, retuned for the way that console asks you to point.
