Toads meet the Lee brothers in Battletoads & Double Dragon, Rare's crossover published by Tradewest. Rash, Zitz, and Pimple share a roster with Billy and Jimmy, and the Dark Queen's plot is the excuse for the team-up.
The crossover arrived in 1993, and the NES, Super Nintendo, and Game Boy editions are not the same build. A trick learned on one machine may be missing from another's move list.
Tradewest's name is on the publishing side, and Rare made the meeting. The speeder habits of the toads and the brawler habits of the Lees have to live in whatever version is in the slot, and those versions were built separately.
