Astro Boy: Omega Factor

Treasure and Hitmaker dropped Astro into side-scrolling rooms and a library of manga faces in Astro Boy: Omega Factor. Sega published the Game Boy Advance game in 2003. Two routes structure the campaign, and the entries logged in that library change what the second route becomes.

Astro flies, fires the arm cannon, and chains hits in the crowded style Treasure favors. A combo is the point of a packed room: launch someone, keep the counter alive, and do not drop the juggle. Hitmaker's share of the work sits beside that action, under Sega's publishing.

The library records characters drawn from the wider manga around Astro, and meeting them is how a page fills. The first route introduces the crisis and the cast. A thin first trip and a thorough one do not unlock the same follow-up, because the second route reads the library.

Osamu Tezuka's hero is the body on screen, while the cartridge keeps inviting faces from the surrounding stories. Sega released an official action game with a real second path, not a sketch of the character. Treasure's hit chains and the library's effect on that return visit are the two ideas that run it.
