History

Fare meters turn Springfield into a taxi town in The Simpsons: Road Rage, the driving game Radical Entertainment released in 2001 and Electronic Arts published. Homer, Bart, and other regulars each get a car.

You pick up a passenger, then try not to wreck on the way to a landmark like the nuclear plant or the Kwik-E-Mart. The joke is the route, not a lap record.

Each driver's car matches their bit from the show. A clean racing line was never the point of this fare chase.
