Red's scheme replaces the older sorcerers in Spyro: A Hero's Tail, the 2004 sequel Eurocom made after Insomniac's trilogy. Vivendi published that home-console adventure, with Spyro, Sparx, and a Dragon Kingdom that is not the same backyard as the first three games.
Breath, charge, and a wider set of companions carry the new studio's take. Insomniac's trilogy had ended; Eurocom's job was a home-console continuation with a different villain in Red.
The cube release is that Eurocom sequel. It is not a port of the first three playgrounds.
