Custom moves and a goddess of time share the roster in Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm's mix of guests and regulars. The 2019 kit lets a player edit specials instead of accepting one fixed moveset.
Kronika's hourglass is the plot, rewinding grudges so past versions of fighters can stand next to their older selves. Gear, a variation of specials, and the usual fatality close a round that started as a footsie game.
Earlier chapters had fixed each fighter's toolkit more tightly. This one lets a player edit the kit, then still expects the guest star and the series villain to share a stage.
