Connor Kenway's frontier war is Assassin’s Creed III, Ubisoft's 2012 chapter set in the American Revolution. Boston, the homestead, and Haytham Kenway's earlier scenes share the campaign, and the Wii U port uses the gamepad for the map.
Naval scraps in the Revolution are smaller than a later pirate game's ocean, and the tree-running is this chapter's travel. Connor's village and the redcoats are the conflict, not a Caribbean crew.
The Wii U map on the pad lets the television hold the frontier. This is the Revolution, with Connor, and the pad is the cartography.
